CWSA Membership
An Athlete Membership is what lets you enter CWSA sanctioned events and appear in the World Ranking. Everything is handled on the CWSA GLOBAL system.
Steps
From sign-up to your first event
If this is your first time, work through these in order. It is all done from your CWSA account.
- STEP 01
Create a CWSA account
Create an account on the CWSA site and verify your email address. Everything else starts here.
- STEP 02
Activate your membership
Activate an Athlete Membership. It is required to enter sanctioned events and to appear in the World Ranking System.
- STEP 03
Set up your athlete profile
Register your name, country and photo. Your competition record builds up on this profile.
- STEP 04
Choose your division
Choose the division that matches your age group and competitive level. Divisions are standardized across CWSA.
- STEP 05
Enter a sanctioned event
Enter an online event or an in-person sanctioned event.
- STEP 06
Compete and earn WRS points
WRS points are awarded based on your result and feed into the World Ranking.

Fees and conditions
Membership fees, validity periods, eligibility requirements and the divisions available to you are all subject to change. CWSA JAPAN does not publish them here; the official CWSA GLOBAL pages are always the definitive source. Applications and payments are handled entirely on the CWSA GLOBAL system, and CWSA JAPAN never collects membership fees directly.
